About Dorothy Deene

I came to writing by way of being impacted by a hundred other lives — working in the entertainment industry, the carpool confessions, the small brave decisions around me that add up to someone's life. When I finally sat down to write my debut, The Gravity of Lies (based on my daughter's and my time in the industry), I discovered that everything I'd seen, heard and lived had been research all along for my stories.

My novels follow girls and women who have dreams, who have loved, lost, who are searching for the truth, who they are and where they belong. I write about second chances at life and love because I believe in them.

When I'm not hunched over my laptop,  you'll find me staring up at the clouds, enjoying peaceful moments, loving on my family, and playing "piggy ball" with my tiny-but-mighty Yorkie, Sophie Pebbles.
